We have inaugurated and commissioned Lammii National Cement Factory with a capacity of 150,000 quintals of cement per day. This mega project is an indication of our government’s strong commitment to build with speed, scale and quality. It is an example of how to complete vital infrastructure developments quickly and efficiently. This is 50 percent of the combined production of similar factories in our country. Congratulations to all those who participated in making this happen.
When I returned here two years later, I was impressed by the pace of work, which is an indicator of leadership. The project shows that through such hard work, future generations will not inherit poverty but will have a good foundation for growth and prosperity.
If we increase the number of industrial projects as Citizens across our country, the fruits of increased job creation and development of the country will be unparalleled. Especially in steel production, fertilizer production, and even the impact of the wider industrial revolution and agricultural development is vast.
The challenges facing large countries like Ethiopia require high-level solutions. Joint public-private partnerships are crucial to take advantage of intangible assets and opportunities as well as to overcome obstacles. By saving your own money on such activities, the lives of many citizens can be improved and they can live in a dignified manner.
